1. Do you sell carpet?
Creative Flooring does not sell carpet as a flooring store or home improvement store would. All carpet comes from outside sources. We are just the service provider, and turn your purchased carpet or rug into a new rug for you! The small exception is for custom logo rugs or design rugs. This service requires a particular type of carpet. We have a selection of fine carpet that you can choose from and order from our location so we can create your custom work.
2. Do I need to make an appointment?
No appointment is necessary! Our shop is open Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm. Come in whenever is convenient for you, there will always be someone here to help you!
3. Do you sell rug pad?
We do! Creative Flooring has 4 different types of rug pads and 3 different types of attached backing that we carry in stock in our shop. Our pads and backing come in 12 ft rolls, so there won’t be any seams or creases felt on your rug. This is not the same type of backing that you would find at a home improvement store, our pad and backing is “the good stuff” and will be cut to the exact size for your rug. While slightly more expensive, you get what you pay for. Our pads and backing will make sure your rug doesn’t move, protects your floors, adds cushion, and will prolong the life of your rug as well.
4. Can I have the rug or carpet delivered to you?
Absolutely. You can either bring the rug/carpet piece in to the shop yourself, or you can have it shipped to our shop. Our shop address is 7252 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Just make sure your name or your client’s name is on the order so we can know whose it is. You will also need to contact our shop either by phone or email and provide instructions for what you want done with the carpet or rug piece. We will fill out a work order, and contact you when it is ready for pickup! If you are having the rug shipped to you after completion, you will also need to contact the rug shop and set that up.
5. What is the process?
It’s pretty simple, once you have your carpet piece or rug, bring it in to our shop during our open hours. We will have people here to help you unload and bring it in. We will then take your instructions for what you want done to the rug, and answer any questions you may have. You can have the finishing match the carpet, or you can pick your own! We take it from there. We have a pretty standard turn around time of a couple weeks, but we will let you know the estimated time for your project. Once complete, you will receive a call from us, and you will pay upon pickup. It’s as easy as that!
6. How much does it cost?
All of our services cost a different amount due to the cost of supplies, difficulty of labor, etc. Our edging services (binding, serging, canvas, fabric, fringe, leather) is charged by the linear foot of the end result size. (Linear Feet is the perimeter of the rug). Our backing and pad is charged by the square foot. However, if you would like to know how much your project costs, give us a call with what you want done and the ending size and we will give you a free quote no questions asked.
7. Do you repair rugs?
Yes! Though every repair is different. Email our rug shop a picture of what needs repaired with a brief description and they are often able to tell if they can fix it. The rug shop email is firstname.lastname@example.org
8. Can you put on new backing or replace old backing for my rug?
Yes we can replace the backing for your rug, though we do ask that you have your rug cleaned first. Dirty rugs will not be accepted.
9. How can I pay?
We accept payment by check, credit card, or exact change. You can pay for your service upon pick up. All commercial accounts will be emailed an invoice and expected to pay by check or credit card within 30 days. All commercial accounts will have a 2.5% fee added on to their invoice for credit card payment.
10. How long does it take?
Our most standard turn around time is 2 weeks, however that is always subject to change. For more complicated projects it will usually be longer. We will let you know how long you can expect your project to take when you drop it off. If your runner is pre-cut, the turn around time is 24 – 48 hours.
